Thank you for taking the time to read this letter that is of some importance, and just might save you a lot of lost time, money and possibly even jail time.

If you receive a CollectionShield from someone, you will want to read it very carefully. If you don't understand what it means personally to you, you may wish to seek out the advice from a legal professional.

CollectionShield is NOT just your average day, run of the mill "Cease and Desist ( C&D )" that you are used to receiving from consumers. CollectionShield does use the provisions set forth by Congress under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), but it also utilizes written warning to the collection agency AND any person who is employed by that agency, about the CRIMINAL side of the law that you do NOT want to violate, as YOU may be held personally accountable for violating the order the consumer has given you. Specifically, you can be charged with a misdemeanor CRIME for harassment, whether telephonic or otherwise.

Also, in an on-going effort to combat terrorism, the CollectionShield program, if violated, may be turned over to the justice department for investigation, which may provide a legal permissible purpose for a search warrant or other similar action, of the collection agency and their records or other investigative methods.
